Iolani is one of only two schools in the state which offers this very special opportunity to students, to audition for the chance to solo with a symphonic orchestra.  This year’s Concerto Concert features nine of our most talented seniors as soloists, accompanied by Orchestras 4 and 5.  Many of these students plan for and work toward this culminating event for years.  This year’s concert will include four piano soloists (Nicole Cheung, Edwin Li, Jarret Lin, Elvina Zhang), two cellists (Tara Srirangarajan, Maya Stevens), bassoonist Andrew Shwetzer,  and two violinists (Jake Lui, Blaise Tesoro).

The  program will include single movements from the following:
