PRESENTED BY HAWAII LEGACY FOUNDATION & HAWAII THEATRE CENTER
Join us at the historic Hawaii Theatre on November 18 for a special screening of the 1973 classic “The Sting.” Co-starring the late legendary actor Robert Redford—who passed away on September 16 at the age of 89—this charming caper remains a tribute to his craft and era.
Set in 1936 and brimming with style, wit and razor-sharp plotting, the film follows two con men who team up to take down a ruthless underworld boss in Chicago. Redford’s magnetic performance alongside Paul Newman creates a cinematic partnership that crackles with energy.
This evening offers not just an opportunity to revisit a timeless gem—one of Hollywood’s slickest “big cons”—but also to pay homage to Redford’s enduring legacy. Be part of a warm community gathering in a vintage theatre setting, where the film’s ragtime soundtrack and period splendour feel fresher than ever.
Join us on November 18 at the historic Hawaii Theatre to relive The Sting and celebrate the life and legacy of the late Robert Redford on the big screen.
