People's Choice and Daytime Emmy award-winner Pat Sajak returns to the Historic Hawaii Theatre alongside Hawaii's most-watched news anchor Joe Moore, in a new production of Neil Simon’s hilarious and moving comedy The Sunshine Boys. Joining the dynamic duo on stage in his professional acting debut is Bryce Moore, son of actor Joe Moore! Bryce co-starred in the made in Hawaii film, Under The Blood Red Sun. Together, the trio and supporting cast of Therese Olival, Robert Duvall, Jeanne Wynn Herring, Matthew Mazzella, Bart DaSilva, and Robert Doan will perform in support of the Historic Hawaii Theatre.
Kings of comedy, Willie Clark (Joe Moore) and Al Lewis (Pat Sakak) aka ‘The Sunshine Boys’ haven’t spoken to each other in years.
When CBS calls for the vaudevillian greats to be re-united for a television special, Willy Clark's nephew/talent agent, Ben Clark (Bryce Moore) tries to bring the two comedy legends together, but past grudges resurface as they take center stage once more. Ageing ailments aside, can this legendary double-act overcome their differences for one last show?
Old rivalry and vintage hilarity abound in this classic comedy of showbiz and friendship.
Directed by Rob Duvall, who has won multiple Po'okela Awards, The Sunshine Boys looks set to be the theatrical event of the year.
This show was rescheduled from June 2020, and is targeted to take place in June 2021 subject to Mr. Sajak's Wheel of Fortune Production Schedule.
