There’s nothing quite like the energy of a live show at one of Hawaii’s most treasured historic landmarks — and our volunteers help make that happen.
Hawaii Theatre volunteers help create a warm, welcoming experience for every guest who walks through our doors. As a volunteer, you’ll be right in the middle of the excitement of live performances — helping our audiences enjoy everything this historic theatre has to offer.
Most of our volunteers help out during showtimes: greeting guests at the door, scanning tickets, ushering, and helping patrons find their seats. Whether it’s a first-time visitor or a longtime patron, our volunteers are often the friendly face that makes an evening at the theatre feel special from start to finish.
Beyond showtimes, we also have volunteer opportunities throughout the year with special events, community activities, and fundraising efforts — think guest registration, event set-up, and helping spread the word about everything happening at Hawaii Theatre Center.
It’s a great way to meet new people, be part of the performing arts community, and experience live performances up close — all while giving back to something we love.
