“Music entwines our souls together in times of peril. We become one Ohana, with winds of hope for a new tomorrow. The sounds of music soothe the hurt and strengthen the heart for the long journey ahead. Please join us as we embark on the first steps towards a new chapter,” believed Kalene Sakamoto, Co-Producer and Promoter of the Maui Malama Pono Concert, Crossing Rain, Pono Entertainment LLC.
Maui Malama Pono is brought forth by the generosity of contributions and collaborative efforts of our corporate sponsors like Hawaii Theatre Center, Hawaiian Airlines, Kaimana Beach Hotel, Beta Beta Gamma Foundation, DaCrew, Cathy Lee Style Designs, PAPA Hawaii, Hele Mua Media, PONO Entertainment and other caring community members. Please consider joining our Ohana, as we are in the early stages of seeking and confirming sponsors. Together, each of us join hands to commence the efforts to bring renewed breath to Lahaina and Maui’s communities.
The monetary donations will be designated for use by The Maui Strong Fund- Hawaii Community Foundation. The Maui Strong Fund serves as an umbrella resource to provide for foundational services that the Maui Ohana has a critical need for, such as housing, food, and transport of services. The fund has worked collaboratively with the Aloha Diaper Bank, American Red Cross -Pacific Islands Region (shelter), ARC of Maui (disability care), Common Ground Collective (meals), Blue Water Rafting (transport supplies), Community Clinic of Maui (health care), and other critical service providers. Please show your support for those who suffered losses of their loved ones and of their homes by the sea and by the ridges of the mauna (mountains) by attending the concert at Hawaii Theater on August 27, 2023, or by purchasing tickets or donating through the website by clicking HERE.
“Our dream is that through our music we can provide hope, inspiration, and ALOHA to our Maui Ohana.”
